(2009-10-21) Meeting with H.E. Dalia Grybauskaite

On October 21st, representatives of foreign Chambers of Commerce in Lithuania and European Business Network (EBN) met with HE President Dalia Grybauskaitė to discuss the business environment, as an essential pre-condition for Lithuania‘s economic recovery.

During the meeting following issues were raised jointly by the chambers and discussed with the President: vision for the country including strategic industries and transparency, liberalisation of energy market in compliance with EU competition law, labour market liberalisation, foreign direct investment (FDI), taxes transparency and accountability and tourism as a strategic industry. The issues were presented by different chamber representatives with an open discussion after each question was raised.
The French Chamber was represented by Patrick Lion, CCFL Vice-president, Gitana Bogužienė, CCFL vice-president and Linas Samuolis, president of Vilniaus Energija, CCFL Sponsor Member.
The meeting has received a wide coverage in the local press and TV.
